Games for Blind Gamers won the new Get Together prize at the Gaming ohne Grenzen Award 2026. The award was presented at gamescom on 26 August.

The annual game jam brings blind and sighted developers and players together to make blind-accessible games. Gaming ohne Grenzen selected the project ahead of Sona VR and Stop Killing Games, citing the way it includes blind players during development.

Several other winners are relevant to players who use screen readers or alternative controllers. Forza Horizon 6 received the International Award, with the organizer citing AutoDrive, an integrated screen reader, and visual settings. Art of Fauna won the mobile-game category for screen-reader support, simplified controls, and adjustable visuals. The mouth-operated QuadStick won the Technology and Hardware award.

Nine prizes were presented. Tiny Bookshop won both the National and Community Choice categories, while PEAK received the Best Feature award for options that reduce emotional and visual triggers.
